Xinghuo Yu HOME PAGE
Professor Xinghuo Yu is the inaugural Director of the Platform Technologies Research Institute, RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia.
He is also Professor of Information Systems Engineering in the School of
Electrical and Computer Engineering. Professor Yu’s research interests
include variable structure and nonlinear control, complex and intelligent
system, industrial information technologies. He has published over 300 refereed
papers in technical journals, books and conference proceedings as well as
co-edited 9 research books.
Professor Yu has served as an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on
Circuits and Systems Part I (2001-2004), and is serving as an Associate Editor
of IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics and IEEE Transactions on
Industrial Electronics and several other scholarly journals. He has been on the
program committees of many international conferences, and co-chaired several
international conferences. Professor Yu was the sole recipient of the 1995
Central Queensland University Vice Chancellor's Award for Research. He is a
Fellow of the Institution of Engineers Australia and was made Emeritus
Professor of Central Queensland University Australia in 2002 for his long-term
contributions. Professor Yu was made an IEEE Fellow in 2007 for his
contributions to variable structure systems theory and applications in
intelligent and complex systems.
